Backtests are models, not future proofs.
The scientific work provided provides context on automated systems and their development problems. Their results apply to the respective test conditions. They do not replace independent testing of a specific Expert Advisor, nor the comparison of simulation and actual execution.

A working robot needs more than its trading logic: compatible environment, reliable connection, matching data and account execution rules. A loss alone does not allow for assignment to software errors, broker mechanics or unsuitable strategy. The user needs a comprehensible error and event log.
