Check seriousness, technical observation and responsibility on the basis of different evidence.
A familiar brand can be abused.
The FSMA warning of the 24th July 2025 explicitly mentions “MT5itrader / MetaQuotes (Clone)” and mt5itrader.com. The addition of clone is crucial: a claimed identity must not be equated with the real trademark owner.
[FSMA]Check domain, legal entity, contact details and regulatory status separately. For register checking, use the independently accessed official service, not a screenshot sent by the provider or a link to a replicated page.
A well-known platform is not a complete provider check.
The Reddit post provided describes user observations and makes far-reaching statements about plugins. Without protocols and tested configuration, this remains a search guide. Even a deviating external chart does not identify any manipulation.
[REDDIT]Check contractual partners and payment methods as well as the trading interface. The FSMA describes fraud scenarios with apparent profits and later blocked payouts. She points out that even a small initial payout can generate trust. A successful test transfer is therefore not sole proof of seriousness.
[FSMA]Fraud and producer responsibility are separate issues.
The 2024 Gurung Order deals with specific complaints and dismisses the complaints against MSC Defendants and Forexware in the manner described therein. It does not prove that no fraud has taken place, nor that all designated providers were responsible. Among other things, the Law Review article analyses the high demands on RICO claims against less closely involved actors.
